Meet the gorgeous, loving Oak.
Oak is a JRT blend a small size medium dog
This one year old bundle of energy and bounce loves people without boundaries. He loves to be up close and personal. He’s happiest when investigating with you in the garden and will make a devoted and loyal friend.
He will bounce to meet you without knocking you over in eagerness to greet you. So he is best suited to a home with kids over the age of 10.
He is good at sitting and his little feet dance while waiting to be feed is priceless. He loves his food and can be mildly food defensive when other dogs are around.
He loves going for a walk on a lead. He needs obedience training to walk nicely. Oak needs to learn how to meet others with manners, his behaviour is very enthusiastic and can be a little overwhelming for less confident dogs.
. He is quite happy to be outside in my experience. Doesn’t cry to come in and can bark occasionally if there is a possum but it is not nuisance barking.
This young man is a delight, he’s eager to please and just wants your approval so will be easy to train and well worth the effort!
He has been living in a home with three other dogs of both sexes, a 10 and 18 year old boy. Has not been tested with cats. He will need regular daily outings. He has slept happily in the laundry without scratching at the door and was happy in a crate post desex, so I think he’d be easily crate trained. He has put on some weight and is sitting around the 10-12kg mark. He’s being fed twice a day using a weighted kong like toy.
