Shadow ~ border collie (on trial 5/10/19)

Shadow is an 8yo, female border collie who is looking for a home to give her all the love and affection she has missed out on in her life. Shadow has striking colouring and is a pretty little dog who is past any puppy silliness. She likes to chase flies and chill out in the sun. She loves people and children and is looking for a new family to bond to. She would prefer a family with children over 10 years old.

We know Shadow was attacked by another dog when she was young resulting with her being nervous and uncomfortable around them. We are looking for a home without another dog. She is fine to walk on lead but she is not the dog to take to a dog park or areas where there are other dogs as this makes her uncomfortable. She prefers the love and attention of her family. We are unsure how she would be with cats and other small pets.

It would be ideal if someone is home most of the time and Shadow is allowed in to be part of the family. Shadow has been through a lot of change and gets quite stressed when you leave. She tries to dig out of the yard, so dog proof fencing is a must.

Shadow is a super sweet girl who really does want to be your shadow. She is toilet trained, walks gently on lead, can sit and comes when you call. She is looking for a family with time, patience and lots of love to give. If that sounds like you please fill out the adoption questionnaire.

Shadow's adoption fee is $300 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
