About Dalton
Hiya, Paw-ty People! My name's Dalton & I love to par-tay. I'm told I'm very handsome which allows me to get away with my cheeky antics! I ADORE all humans & am especially patient with kids - I am currently fostered with kids 4, 6, & 8 years of age. They love me! I am slowly learning that ""No"" it's not okay to get up on the table & help myself to my favourite human's meals or get into the bread basket to steal bread for myself. My scavenging trait may hang round for a little longer as I get used to this new thing called domesticity!
My head is slightly smaller than my shoulders so many a comical moment has occurred when I left my lovely human foster Mummy holding the lead & collar as I sprinted across the park. My breaks for freedom are getting less as I learn to trust my human foster family & am realising that I got it pretty good now.
My human foster Mummy says that I had no social skills whatsoever we I first came to stay but I am learning quickly to sit, stay & wait for my food. As stated above, I am VERY food orientated so would be easy to train with time & patience.
I am very clever. I picked up using the doggy door on my very first day in my foster home. I am house trained & I'm super keen to love & be loved, I'm a perfect lap dog. Anyone who wants it - gets it, big time, as I try to smother your face in kisses & adoration. They say happiness on the inside shines out & I am one happy puppy!!
I have the cutest baby face but don't be fooled - I will need a harness to go walkies with or you will be left holding my collar & I will need a secure yard as I can squeeze through the smallest gaps! I have a lot of street savvy yet my human foster family say it is so lovely to see that I remain so full of hope, trust & affection. I'm described as such ""a good boy"" - I just want to please you.
I am a bit wary of garden utensils - rakes & brooms for example. My experience with other dogs has been limited to a few well behaved dogs down at the park & I have been friendly with them & just wanted to play.
Researching the name ""Dalton"" - it is an English origin name meaning ""the settlement in the valley"". www.urbandictionary.com states, ""Dalton - A guy that will love you better than anyone could"".
Could this cutie settle in your home? Apparently, he will love you more than anyone could. ADOPT LOVE TODAY!
