Chester

Chester was surrendered to us. His owners have had him from a puppy. He had always been an outside dog. Apparently, they didn’t want him any more as ‘he isn’t very nice anymore.’
On arrival into care, he was emaciated, flea ridden and covered in scabby sores. His ears were shredded. No wonder he wasn’t very nice to his previous owners!
Anyway, after a vet visit and the usual flea, and worm treatment, Chester came home to a warm medicated bath which he loved, followed by cream on his sore areas. He then tucked into a bowl of chicken, veggies, and cottage cheese, before being snuggled up in some warm blankets and sleeping the whole afternoon away.
This boy is a delight. He basically has followed me around like a shadow at home, and is completely toilet trained, using the doggie door like a boss. He absolutely loves to snuggle on my lap in the evening.
Chester is fantastic on leash and really enjoys going for a walk. He has been on many trips in the car with me, and travels really well.
He has been fine with the other dogs in care with him, both bigger and smaller than him, but he would be equally happy if he was an only dog.
He has had a miserable first seven years of his life, and we want him to thoroughly enjoy the rest of his life. We would love his forever family to be home most of the time, and to want him with them on walks to the coffee shop or along the beach.
This boy is super special, so please tell me what you would be able to offer him. Are you home a lot? Do you have other pets? Any children?
We are located in Moree, northern NSW. We do have daily weekday flights to Sydney and beyond, plus fortnightly road transport. Both of these options are easy to arrange (if you can’t come to collect Chester) at new owners cost.
