About Buddy
*buddy is currently trialling his new home* buddy is 2 years old in june and as a special birthday treat we’d really love to find him the perfect forever home!!
buddy’s been surrendered to sarg as his young owner who has a toddler and another bub on the way unfortunately hasn’t been able to give him the attention and training that every dog needs to grow up and be polite. She is very upset to part with him but realises it’s for the best – we’re just happy she came to sarg with him as we can certainly see the little guy’s potential. As a result of buddy’s lack of training he is quite silly though now that he’s getting time spent with him in care he’s picking up on the basics like ‘sit’ and ‘down’ rather quickly and is keen to learn and of course he’s enjoying lots of human interaction which he craves!
buddy gets on extremely well with other dogs and young children though he can get a bit excitable around them and accidentally bump the real little kiddies over though we’re sure this will improve with time. Buddy can be a very gentle dog even when he does jump up (which of course we’re discouraging!) as he’s actually soft about it. He’s very cute to meet in the flesh and does still have alot of puppyish ways about him such as the way he wiggles and waggles when you first greet him – his tail never stops going flat-out he loves life so much!!!
he is only a small cocker spaniel though he’s actually a little underweight according to our vets so we’re working on fattening him up a bit with a good quality diet. Cocker spaniels and other dogs that have long, pendulous ears are more prone to ear problems so they’ll need an eye kept on them and buddy will require some regular grooming to keep his coat in top condition. Buddy would enjoy an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with a placid dog for company and to learn from. We believe that with lots of love and ongoing obedience training buddy will make a lovely, loyal little companion. If you’ve got the time required to turn buddy’s life around and you can cope with being rewarded with lots of doggie love and fun times then please contact sarg for more information and an application now!
