ABOUT

There is something about Adeline that is special, something undefinable that her foster carer can’t quite put her finger on. Maybe it’s the way she remained her sweet, affectionate self even when she was seriously ill, even when she had trouble standing up on her own 4 feet her purrs and head butts never faded.

Adeline has a bit of a story, she arrived into the care of BFF with 3 newborn kittens, whilst Addy was a devoted mumma one of her babies was clearly struggling and on the advice of our vet the decision was made to transfer him to a specialist carer who was experienced in tube feeding to give him the best chance of thriving. Adeline continued to mother her 2 remaining babies beautifully until a few days later when she became seriously ill. An emergency dash to the vet and much testing later and we still didn’t have any clear answers on what was making her so ill but we were relieved when after 48 hours her symptoms began subsiding and we were very relieved when Adeline was discharged on day 4 and allowed to return home. Whilst it was wonderful to see her on the road to recovery unfortunately Addy’s milk supply had dried up and she was no longer able to feed her kittens. The same wonderful specialist carer is now raising all 3 of Adeline’s kittens.

Whilst it took a little time for Adeline’s strength to return she is now completely recovered and we are seeing her cheeky, playful side. Now that Addy’s mothering days are behind her she is enjoying the attention being all about her, as it should be! Adeline wants to be with you, on you, or walking beside you at all times. She needs to be in on the action and has a fear of missing out. If you are looking for a feline companion that enjoys being part of your daily activities, that is interactive and engaging then Adeline is your girl.

Addy is a little wary of the large dog she shares her foster home with but her carer is seeing improvements with that every day. Do you have children or grand children? If so even better, Adeline loves children and will happily spend time them, often choosing to sleep with her carers 10 year old daughter.
