Cleopatra

Gentle, shy and thankful Cleopatra arrived from a Country pound in August, starving for food and affection. As soon as she got to her foster carer’s home, she looked lovingly into her eyes like one of those YouTube posts of dogs after having been adopted! She hopes for a furever home soon, so she can shower her own human with love.
Within hours of arrival, and after a solid meal, Cleopatra found herself sleeping whilst sitting up with her paws on her carer's lap and head nestled on her paws. She sits patiently by her carer's side whilst she is on her computer and generally gets on well with the resident, much older dogs. She did get jealous of her male 13 year old toothless canine house mate, but, after being roused on, Cleo learnt to leave him alone. Still, she may be best suited as a single dog in the household.

Her name Cleopatra (Cleo for short) was chosen because she has what looks like black eye-liner extending outward from her eyes. A true sweetheart, Cleo’s personality will shine the more she gets used to having a warm jacket, a bed in a snuggly location and lots of love. She will just need a family with the patience to help her develop and blossom.

Although now 11 months’ old, Cleopatra is also not used to walking on a lead; she has only ventured out twice in her short time in care - around the block and a small park - and looked around for a driveway for retreat when she saw humans or canines approaching. She did let a puppy Doberman touch noses with her but she really didn’t know what to do, so her new parent(s) should be prepared for some puppy training!

Cleo has now gained sufficient weight to be desexed but is now on heat, so will be available for her new home around 10th October. She is microchipped, wormed, heartworm tested (negative) and thoroughly vet-checked.
