About Luke
This is Luke, the most wonderful boy to have around the house. Luke is just over 1, but you wouldn’t know it with his impeccable manners! He is a quiet boy, who loves playing with his numerous toys, hanging out on the couch snoozing or going for a run and play at the dog park.
He is a nervous dog, with a fear of humans, so he needs a lot of patience. Since coming into foster care he has improved so much and is starting to learn that humans aren’t going to hurt him. He just really needs a home that’ll give him the TLC he needs, as once he realises you are his friend and that he’s safe, he is incredibly affectionate. He absolutely adores other dogs and his confidence shines when he’s at the park surrounded by other pups. Lukey is really coming along with his recall and all his other commands such as ‘sit’, ‘lie down’, ‘shake’ and ‘wait’.
Luke is happy to play by himself too, and is just hilarious as he'll grab a toy, preferably a squeaky one, and will run around the yard squeaking the toy, dropping it, picking it up, tossing it in the air and running around again. He makes me laugh most days with these silly games! He also loves a game of fetch with his humans.
Due to his confidence issues, Luke needs a home with another dog. He'll need lots of positive experiences to build confidence and being with another friendly, confident dog will help. His new family need to show some patience with him. He is fine to be left alone for a few hours at a time and he has never made a mess! He listens to commands incredibly well at home and has never done anything that he wasn’t allowed to do. He currently lives with 2 other dogs, one young and one very old, and he gets along with both very well!
He is great with kids, having previously lived with 3 smaller children and is really good with them. He currently lives indoors/outdoors during the day and sleeps inside at night.
He really is a lovely boy and if interested in offering him a great home, please complete the adoption enquiry form via our Fetching Dogs website as the next step.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
