Hi, my name is Bonnie! I am new to OTC and would love to find a new family to call mine! Here is a little bit about me!
I know commands like sit, wait, inside, outside, shake, and bed. I like food, walks, toys, tug o war, and I LOVE driving in the car. I love to sunbake and roll in the grass. I currently sleep inside at night on my bed, and am well behaved inside. I am regularly home alone as my fosters work, and I go fine. My foster says I do funny things like sit on their feet, roll around when I'm super excited and makes a little high pitch squeal when I'm realllly excited! I am a gentle, goofy girl. Cute things I do include sleeping with my paw over my nose and curling up in a little ball.
I get along great with other dogs as long as they are not trying to dominate me or start a fight. I will stand my ground and like to be the boss! I am not well suited to dog parks as they are often full of boisterous, naughty dogs and there is not much control and structure, which makes me very tense. I would much prefer to get my exercise with fetch, walks/jogs and swimming if there is a quiet waterhole nearby.
My ideal owner would be someone who can take me out 4 times a week for walks. If you have another dog, awesome! If not, that's ok too- I don't mind being on my own. I would be ok to sleep inside or outside at night. I am a loving, gentle girl who really deserves a loving family.
If that's you, please contact my rescue asap. I can't wait to find my furever home!
Adoption details
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following:
- Real estate approval
- Fence requirements
- Outside shelter areas
- Other resident pets fully vaccinated and preferably desexed
- The rescue pet's dietary requirements eg large breed vs medium breed, age
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the OTC Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal. We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applicants may meet the animal. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the pet at your home, or in a public place. If you have other pets they must be at the meet. You may be required to travel to the pet; we infrequently have admins available to drive extensive distance and it also says a lot if someone is able yet unwilling to come to the animal they have applied for. If for example you cannot drive, feel free to talk with us about possibility of travel to you.
At the meet if you and the pet get along you have the option of either taking the pet on the spot (in exchange for signed contract and the full adoption fee paid upfront) or placing the pet on hold for up to 2 days with a $100 non-refundable holding deposit. This deposit is then taken off the original adoption fee should you proceed with the adoption. Should you place a hold, we will not proceed other applicants until you have removed your hold or adopted the animal.
*PLEASE NOTE we do not hold pets without a non-refundable holding deposit of $100. If you are unwilling to put a deposit on the pet, we will continue to advertise and speak with other potential adopters, so you may miss out. We have had to make the deposit is non refundable to avoid time-wasters. The $100 holding deposit is then subtracted from the outstanding adoption fee, which is to be paid at collection of the pet. Eg if full adoption fee is $450, and you place a $100 holding fee on the animal- the day you collect the pet you will sign an adoption contract and pay the remaining $350 fee of which $50 is non-refundable.
All animals are adopted out with vaccinations up to date; if for example you are adopting a young animal it may not have had a full protocol yet due to age- so any vaccinations due from date of adoption are the ethical and financial responsibility of the adopter. During the trial period, should the pet become ill, you must present it to the OTC-approved vet clinic in your area and OTC will cover any treatment needed.
So. Ready to roll? Then fill out the attached short form, and we will be in contact to successful applicants asap. Feel free to follow us up via Facebook page inbox.
