About Bella Lafferty
Bella is a gentle giant. There’s nothing she likes better than to just sit on the couch with you getting pats and rubs while both of you watch TV. Especially if there are dogs on the TV! She also likes her walks every morning, although any longer than half an hour tires her out. She generally walks well on a lead unless she sees another dog in which case she gets an overwhelming urge to go up to
them and say hello. For this reason, Bella is suited to a fit, strong person for her forever home family.
Bella has learned to get on well with other animals at home, including two
cats and a hen. She tolerates them in the garden and even on the couch
with her, but if they run away from her she will chase them. For this reason, other animals in the household would need close supervision when they are introduced to Bella.
Bella requires more interaction with other dogs and training of how to behave
because although she is generally playful with them, her size and energy can be misinterpreted by them as aggression. She would love to make friends with other dogs, preferably of a similar size to herself, but once again, this would need to happen under supervision.
Bella truly loves people. Her sad resting face belies an absolutely beautiful, gentle and loving heart. She is devoted to her humans and wants to be around them all the time. She is an indoor dog who needs to be part of the family in every way. If you allow this she will repay you with unconditional devotion, love and affection. Bella just wants a family to love who will love her in return.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
