About Billy
Don’t be fooled by Billy’s size because he has the most beautiful nature we have ever seen for a big dog like him. Billy loves nothing more than to be by your side, he loves company and affection more than anything. He loves to run around in the backyard with you but be ware he is big and doesn’t know it sometimes. He gets sick of playing with toys easily as he just wants to play with you but with his puppy dog eyes you won’t deny him. Billy may love human company a lot but he is perfectly behaved when home alone. He doesn’t bark at the neighbours dogs and will just wait patently until you get home. He loves to shake hands and is learning to sit and stay very well! He also loves to jump up and hug his paws around you so don’t be afraid. We are trying to teach him to only jump up on command as he does get excited easily and may accidentally knock over smaller children. Billy is mostly an outside dog but definitely can be inside as he does come inside sometimes when we are home, he hasn’t tried to jump on the couch or bed instead he will happily lay on the nice cool tiles. Billy would be perfect for someone that loves a big chill dog, with plenty on cuddles and isn’t afraid of a bit of drool.

Location: Our dogs are in family foster care in Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
All of our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, micro chipped and heart worm treated. There are no exceptions.

Adoption Process
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue Inc:
You will be asked to complete an Online Adoption Application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog you are applying for will fit your family. Some dogs have special needs so we may be looking for a specific forever home.
After you have completed the Online Adoption Application, we will have the information to determine if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that you bring along your children and your dog to the meet. A yard check (or yard photos) will be checked and only then will approval be considered.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
If your application is approved, now is the time to invest in a dog harness, led, bedding and toys.
All adoption fees must be cleared before our dogs can be collected from our carers. Our carers are not allowed to accept cash. Bank deposit/transfers only.
We also offer a 2 week trial period - if your new family member is not settling please contact SEQ K9 Rescue Inc via email immediately. We are happy to assist with training or advise if the dog has not settled.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the dog is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be made.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the dog. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
If the dog is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue Inc in Brisbane.
