Flinders has used his charm, cute as a button face and eagerness for kisses and cuddles to manipulate himself into the hearts of all family members. Currently an outside dog by day, the siblings spend most of their day chasing each other around the backyard, wrestling and finding adventures to get into. He does come inside when we are home, he has been crate trained at night and almost completely toilet trained. His favourite activity is dragging our door snake or his teddy around the house. His typical day for Flinders is to Eat -> Play -> Sleep -> Repeat. Flinders head tilt is a ohhhh moment every time, cute as a button.

Behaviourally speaking he is very well behaved, he doesn't bark unless alerting you, has high energy and eagerness to please you with all his love and affection. Flinders foster family consists of a female Maltese X (aged 10), a male cat, two children (aged 4 & 9) and two adults. He has shown playful cheeky affection to all of us equally and is happy to sit or follow us around curiously. He has been sleeping outside and is yet to enjoy the pleasures of being an inside dog (we’d prefer this to be his final family’s decision!). He was not sure about his first bath and will need more practice. Flinders has always greeted our visitors politely, as much as he is playful, he also content with himself and observing people go about their day.

The ideal home for Flinders will be active, enjoy playing and training him; as being a Kelpie he is naturally very intelligent and loves challenges. Bonus points if you have an existing dog that can become his new best buddy! He’s already very comfortable with kids and other animals. He has dug a hole to hide his bone and drags toys all over the backyard, hours of entertainment when he is not eating or sleeping. Flinders is a wonderful puppy and will make a beautiful addition to any home.
