About Maizee
*Located in Cairns*
Dog friendly: Yes
Cat friendly: Definitely
Kid friendly: Not tested (little bouncy for little kids)
House trained: Currently kept as an outside dog
Energy level: Medium/High
From the first day Miss Maizee came into care her focus has been all about her people. She can’t think of anything better then getting a cuddle, a lovely back scratch that makes her smile followed by a walk in the garden. She would rather sit at the door waiting for her people then go for a run on her own. Maizee’s next favourite thing is to give the foster carers cats a few good kisses, she often tries to even give them a lick through the screen door. She isn’t inside all the time with them though so would need some practice at being house trained and gentle with cats.
Maizee has no issue with woofing down all her dinner, even the vegetables her foster mum insists are good for her! She is learning her basic commands for waiting for dinner and being polite. She can still jump a little, however with practice this will stop. For this reason she may not be suited for young children without some training. Maizee is even trying to learn to fetch a ball, however sometimes she prefers to chase all the other dogs at the house chasing the ball. She can play for hours with one of the young dogs and sometimes they get a little boisterous. Despite this Maizee seems to know to leave the older dog alone to do his own thing.
The nature of Maizee's breed means she will need both mental and physical stimulation to keep her out of mischief. Overall though Maizee seems like a well rounded dog who would adapt to most lifestyles. If you are looking for a new loyal furry friend with a beautiful heart then look no further.
