About Pippi
Pippi is a lovely little dog who, sadly, has not had an easy life.
She came into care a very frightened little girl that no one could get near.
She still has a long way to go, but she is coming out of her she'll as time goes on.
We're looking for an extra special home for her. It will need to be a quiet household with a patient carer who will allow Pippi to settle in on her terms.
For example, in care, she will hide if approached directly. But if you sit on the lounge, she will hop up alongside a d snuggle in. She is startled by loud noises and sudden movement, but is improving all the time.
Her favourite place is on the back of the lounge, in front of the window.
She has been living indoors. She is fully house trained and crate trained. She travels fine in the car and trots along on a lead (in the yard) too.
She gets along well with the household dog and other friendly dogs in care, who are all much bigger than her.
We understand a dog like her is not for everyone and want to ensure her adopter understands that she will likely always be a nervous dog.
(Having said that, it is so rewarding when she jumps up beside you on the lounge and falls into a peaceful sleep!)
Pippi is in care in western Sydney.
Medical notes
Pippi gets tear stains which are easily cleaned with a damp cloth.
