About Lana
"Hi there, I'm Lana, and I am here to become your new best friend! I love you already, even though I haven't met you yet!"
Lana is a 11-month-old Border Collie x Rottweiler, with the cutest little bob tail you could ever find. This bouncy girl is medium-sized at just 20kg and will flourish with an experienced owner who can give her the gentle guidance she needs to grow into her potential as an all-round amazing dog.
She is happiest when with people and would be a great companion for someone who has plenty of time to spend playing with her, loving on her, and just generally being around her. She's practicing her best leash-walking behaviour here in the shelter every day, and is getting better and better with it - something else that her new family can continue to work on with her.
She is still young and eager to learn, and is already showing that she's pretty smart by nailing basic commands and manners. She'd love to continue her training with her adoptive family - she's both treat and toy-motivated so it's pretty easy to figure out how to reward the behaviours you like! She loves to play tug but at the same time is super gentle about it, and will release the toy with a quiet command to 'drop it.'
In terms of doggy friends for Lana, we are open to meet and greets for suitable homes that have existing dogs. A laid-back, easy-going dog who won't try to steal Lana's spotlight could be the best bud she didn't know she was looking for! She could join a home with children aged 12 years and up.
If you think Lana is going to make the perfect addition to your family, please submit an expression of interest and we will be in touch with the next steps towards her adoption!
Adoption price $350, which includes desexing, microchip and health check, and up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatments!
