About Miles
Introducing Miles, a 1 year old medium/large desexed mixed breed male. Best guess Staffie/Kelpie.
This boy is extremely loving to people - and is nicknamed “Smiles”. Once he gets to know you you will have his whole heart for the rest of his life!!
He has an old soul vibe but being only 12 months old is not suited to living with young children as he is too boisterous. A calm, playful other dog would suit well. No cats, small pets or chickens.
He has no food or toy aggression and really loves a good game of tuggy - with human or dog.. Loves a swim at the beach. Good at off lead walking as he is loyal and sticks close. He walks quite well on lead but can get excited when passing other dogs or if a tremendous scent catches his nose - so new owners would need average level of strength and fitness for walking him. Travels fine in the car.
Miles needs some time, patience and consistency to further his training in the months to come. He is a super smart boy who bonds very strongly to people and is very responsive to training (especially with treats!).
Out of town acreages would be ideal or lots of variety in his physical and mental stimulation. High fences and a secure yard are a must.
This boy will go far in the right hands. His foster family love him and we know you will too.
Adoption fee $350. Two week trial available for $50 refundable deposit.
Adoption details
Fraser Coast Animal Rescue (FCAR) house all our dogs with foster carers in private homes. This allows them to experience life in family situations with other dogs, cats, children, chooks and various other domestic animals. We then have an opportunity to discover their traits and personalities, likes and dislikes, and which dog may suit your family dynamics.
We offer a 14 day trial to see if the chosen dog is a fit with your family. A $50 deposit is paid at the commencement of the trial period and goes toward adoption fee should you adopt. If the dog doesn't fit with your family, they will be returned to us and deposit refunded.
To arrange a meet and greet with one of our dogs please message this page,
