About Roo
What a darling girl!
Rue is a couch potato in disguise. She is a very chilled out lay-around with a soft heart.
Rue is a 11 month old Wolfhound mix and is very docile and sweet.
She walks lovely on the lead and knows her basic commands. She is up to date with her vaccinations and is de-sexed.
She is big (taller than a Labrador) however manages to compact herself to sleep on the couch without taking all the space. She is house trained and is dog socialised and currently lives with 2 other male dogs (Labrador and Staffy x). Rue needs a gentle owner but someone who Is persistent with commands as she can be stubborn if she wants (and will test boundaries if not consistent). She would suit a household with kids who are comfortably walking (due to her size), and medium to large dogs. She has not been tested with cats. She requires a medium to large size backyard and daily 30 minutes stroll to meet her exercise requirements. She is a social dog so would suit a household who intends on her being part of the family and will go on adventures with them.
She loves car rides and outings like the dog park or hikes so someone who can devote a lot of time with her is essential, however would be just as happy cuddled up on the couch next to you. She is fine to be bathed and have her nails clipped. She is obsessed with soft toys and will carry them around with her. She can ‘fall in love’ with her toys so she can get protective if another dog tries to take them (people are fine). She is a bit of a drama queen and will tell you how it is but is not a barker.
Rue currently has access to both inside and out and sleeps in the laundry however If it were up to her, she would live on the couch.
Rue is such a wonderful girl, she is so content just being around you and deserves such a wonderful home to provide that to her.
Roo can be occasionally jealous with other dogs so we are seeking a home as a single dog
