Looking at him, it’s hard to understand how beautiful Aslan had wound up on death row. Aslan’s days were numbered before we stepped in to save this gentle little ginger lion, and what we got was a funny, curious and playful young boy – a beautiful cat who is very deserving of a long and happy life.

Aslan is about 20 months old and has a magnificent ginger-and-white coat that makes him stand out from the crowd. He loves to be brushed to keep his coat in tip top condition – and he has the cutest little white socks on his paws.

Aslan’s foster carer says he is a super sweet boy who loves to play and snuggle on your lap. He basks in all the love and attention you can give him; he’s a complete sucker for affection. So if you’re after an affectionate kitty who will make you the centre of his world, Aslan is your kitty.

Because he is still young, Aslan can get a bit overexcited when he plays and he can nip your hands, so he would be best suited to someone who understands cat behaviour and can help guide him. This might not suit an environment with small children, but bigger children would be fine. Aslan is fine around other cats, but would need a slow and careful introduction to a home with a dog.

Aslan loves people so much that he will need someone who is home most of the time (working part-time or working from home) or a household where there is plenty of human and/or other cat company. He would not suit a home where he is left alone throughout the day.

Aslan, who is kept indoors in foster care, is also showing interest in the outside world, so if you have an outdoor cat enclosure that would be a big bonus for this lovely boy. We don’t know much about his life before he ended up in the pound, but we do know he is real find and will repay your kindness a million times over.
