About Dolly
Dolly is a 3 year old chocolate labrador.
We rescued her, from a unregulated, unethical puppy mill, 3 weeks ago.
When we picked Dolly up, she was riddled with fleas, ticks and smelt horrendous. And the fact she was so timid and shut down.
We could tell, that Dolly had multiple litters in her short life.
She was taken to the vet immediately, and the process started to get all her medical work done.
Within the course of a couple of days, all the necessary medical work was done.
We put her into a loving foster home, where she had a big fur brother called Leo.
Dolly and Leo hit it off instantly, which made Dolly’s shyness and timidness disappear.
The two of them are best mates, and Leo has taught Dolly what it’s like to be a loved member of a family.
Spots on the couch, on the bed and generally the run of the home.
Dolly definitely loves children and other dogs.
We haven’t tested her with cats.
She walks well on a lead.
She is a typical lab, and loves her food.
The best home for Dolly would be a family with children and another dog.
Please make sure all family members are on board before applying.
And if you have to talk someone around, it isn’t the right time to get a pet.
Dolly is on the Gold Coast (Highland Park)
Her adoption fee is $600

Adoption details
We shortlist families who will fit the dogs needs and contact them to arrange an introduction. If everything works well, after a timeout to be sure, an adoption agreement is completed. As the adoption donation is transferred the dog will pass into your hands.
Our Adoption Donation Fees vary. Elderly animals or animals with health problems can differ from those for young or purebred dogs.
All our dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. They are bathed and groomed, and have had a consultation with our vet who discusses appropriate treatment which we arrange while the dog is in our care. All dogs are desexed at our expense.
We understand that in the first week, issues occasionally occur where training or behaviour modification is impractical and if no other recourse is available and the dog needs to be rehomed, we will agree to refund part of the adoption fee less $100 administration fee. Due to our system processes this will not be instantaneous but will go into your bank account within the next 10 working days.
After the sixth day, we require first refusal if the dog is to be found a different home, but you will not be eligible for a refund.
