About Cooper
Hi Everyone!
I am Cooper and I am just shy of being a 2 year old Border Collie
Need to get this out first encase you stop reading – I am not great at first impressions – I get a little scared and nervous so I tend to hide behind my foster mum's leg - but if you just leave me to come to you when I’m ready – my curiosity usually gets the better of me in 3 - 5 minutes and then I’m ready for pats and chats!
I have the energy, intelligence and athletic ability of a Border Collie My new parents must understand my breed and personality and be willing to successfully guide me through life!
As a young boy, I do need some help but I promise I am worth it (I am very clever). I absolutely love adventures and will make the best exercise and running buddy.
I am a happy boy who loves zoomies, water and tug of war and of course when I’m comfortable with you – cuddles!!
I am good with my manners and I love spending time with my family. At the moment I am with a fur brother – he doesn’t seem to mind when I accidentally run in to him playing – he bounces! But my foster mum says I would be a bit klutzy around really little kids – unless they bounce too!
Having cats is probably not a good idea - i am very curious on them and would probably chase them if they ran (at the moment my foster mum says she hasn't been able to find a cat willing to test me out!)
I would very much like to live with another fur friend for company and playing but I do get a bit dominant over dogs who are gentle and kind – I don’t mean to but I am working on it. I could also live with no other animals, as long as I get plenty of daily exercise and have lots of fun with you I will be happy!
Once I am comfortable and settled I show my true self – my foster mum says I’m gorgeous and very loving!
If you are okay with giving me that chance after my first impression (and it’s improving all the time as I meet new people) then please click on the adoption application link!

If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
