About Milly
Our gorgeous little red darling, 10-month-old Milly, is ready for her loving furever home. Milly (aka “Jamilla”) was surrendered to H4HR at 8 months because of her owners’ housing issues; she was never abused and was well-loved from the beginning. All we did was have her completely vet worked and put her in a loving foster home to prepare her for adoption.
So Milly is completely undamaged and has a lifetime of love to give to her special new family. She is however a puppy with all the naughtiness that that entails including a penchant for chewing, so she’ll need lots of chew toys, bones, etc; and patient owners.
She is extremely social with other dogs and prefers rough boisterous play with lots of “bitey-face” and chasey; but being such a friendly pup she often also wants to say “hello” to humans along the path during her twice daily jogs and walks. They might not always share her enthusiasm.
There are no specific behavioural issues, she’s just a “normal” pup and she adores her red foster brother Toby; but she is ultra-high energy with a very fast metabolism; and she just LOVES her food which she eats copious quantities of while remaining quite slender.
She will need to go to an extra-active home with another extra-active young dog as she hates being alone and needs lots of stimulation. She’ll cry if she doesn’t have company of human and/or dog. She’s very good with children, though she is an exuberant puppy, but not to be trusted with cats and definitely not with birds which are her “favourite”.
Milly’s present foster carer absolutely adores this golden-eyed little sweetie and wants her to go to the perfect home where she will get plenty of exercise and good food, plus most importantly a lifetime of love.
