About Molly ~ 3 year old Cattle Dog x Husky
Meet Molly, aka Princess Molly, aka Molly May. Molly is a 3 year old Cattle Dog x Husky (with the best bits of a few other breeds thrown in for good measure). Molly loves nothing better than cuddles and human company.
Through no fault of her own, we are helping Molly to find her new forever home. Molly has been well loved by her current owner since she was surrendered to the vet in 2016 with tick paralysis (luckily she made a full recovery!)
Around the house, Molly is a chilled out girl. She would be happy laying in the sun while you work, as long as plenty of cuddle time is on offer when you get home. She would be a fantastic companion for a semi-retired or retired person or just someone looking for their best friend! The quiet life is for her, with a good routine. Molly can get a little anxious with lots of change. She needs introductions to new people – but once you’re friends, you’re friends for life.
Molly currently lives with a male dog and they get along fine, but she would be very happy as an only dog. She is a lovable, eager to please people dog. Molly is happy to play with other dogs, but doesn’t like when they aren’t too high energy or in her face. She is happy when chasing a stick or ball (or just walking around with a toy in her mouth!).
Molly hasn’t had much to do with kids so probably isn’t suited to a home with them. She has been exposed to cats, but not without supervision.
Molly loves going for walks and walks well with a front-attach harness. She loves the beach and chasing balls, but this energetic goofball has gone a little too hard in the past and so has had two knees repaired. These shouldn’t give her any trouble again, but she can get some muscle soreness if she goes too hard, so short walks and beach outings are best. Supplements and occasional anti-inflammatories will be helpful for Molly too.
Molly has good basic training – she can sit, drop, stay, twirl and comes when called. Being a girl that loves food, she would happily work on some new tricks with you too. Molly is good in the car though can feel a little sick on long trips.
Molly is currently located in the Newcastle area and is available for adoption interstate. If you are interested in Molly, we encourage you to complete an application form available here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt To ask any questions about Molly not covered here, you can contact Jenn on jenncaine@gmail.com
Molly’s adoption fee is $250 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
If there is a phone number listed in the dog's profile then you can also phone for more information.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
