About Chunk
Oh Chunk! Through no fault of his own Chunk found himself in care at 4Lyfe Rescue at 4 months old in need of some serious TLC to over come some growth problems from poor breeding and bad nutrition.
In the 2 months Chunk has been with us he has shown to be a keen student when treats are involved, developing excellent dinner time manners and showing great potential to be a well trained companion.
Chunk has displayed some on-leash anxiety when meeting new dogs but with further exposure, ongoing training this behaviour can be managed and improved upon. Chunk currently resides with a 2 year old male dog and gets along great with him. He has demonstrated that he chickens aren’t really compatible, he has not been tested with cats.
Chunk has a huge soft spot for children and laps up their attention with relish. Chunk just wants to be with you but when it’s bedtime he is happy to put himself to bed in his crate. Good luck getting him outside for toilet breaks on a frosty morning!
Chunk would be best suited for a family that will well and truly prepared to make him a part of their tribe. He thrives on affection and just wants to be by your side.
Chunk will need clear and consistent boundaries, ongoing training and careful socialisation too. To support Chunk's ongoing health and well being Chunk will need a high quality diet and controlled age appropriate exercise to support his joints and continued growth.
