About Ernie
Ernie is an extremely affectionate, loving and gentle Wolfhound x Border Collie. He is approximately 18 months old with a beautiful soft black coat.
He has shown to be highly intelligent and a very fast learner- learning how to sit, shake and even chase a ball. He is a very active who loves to go for walks to sniff trees. He loves attention and will play with the ball or go for a fast-paced run around the yard.
Ernie adores humans, cuddling up and wanting pats from anyone. His favourite move is to roll on his back for belly rubs. He is very responsive to commands and directions and is learning not to jump up for pats when greeting his humans.
Ernie is house trained and will happily sleep on his bed (or the couch if you let him) and chew a toy. He may be better suited to a family with older children. He is still learning to socialise with other dogs, we are not sure how Ernie responds to cats as he is the only dog in his foster household. He is able to climb over fences if he can find places to put his feet, so specific secure fencing is required. Ernie is a truly lovely dog and a real personality.
