Boo ~ Jack Russell X (on trial 12/9/19)

Boo is a very affectionate 5 year old female Jack Russel Terrier mix, weighing about 5.5kg. She is the sweetest little dog and loves nothing more than spending time with her favourite people.

Her perfect day is full of snuggles on the lounge and going out for walks. Don’t let her small size fool you, this girl has energy and loves to go for long bushwalks or other adventures. When inside the house, she’ll just be snoozing around on her bed or your lap.

Boo has basic training and knows how to sit and come back when called, she is also house trained. Boo walks well on lead but she sometimes gets reactive when bike riders or other dogs get too close. It’s manageable due to her small size and we have already seen improvement. With further ongoing training and a little bit of patience, her behaviour in this area will surely get better and Boo will learn even more tricks.

Like many small dogs, Boo doesn’t like being left alone for too long, so we’re looking for someone home more often than not. Also, Boo needs a very secure yard as she can squeeze through small gaps in the fence to explore the neighbourhood. When being left home alone for a couple of hours, it’s best to keep her inside.

Boo has good manners. She doesn’t dig or chew, no need to worry about your beautiful lawn or shoes with this girl. She doesn’t make a mess when eating and at night she sleeps quietly on her bed in front of her foster mum’s bedroom. She isn’t a nuisance barker either but she’ll let you know when something is going on at the front door or around your house.

She recently had a harmless little cyst removed from her head and has proven to be a very good little patient.

Boo used to live with other dogs and would probably like to have a doggy playmate, but will also be OK as an only dog as long as someone is home a lot.

Boo's adoption fee is $400 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.
