About Lizzy. Melbourne
Little Lizzie is incredibly chilled. She’s not one for long walks and crazy bursts of energy. If she were human, she’d be quite content to be curled up on the couch with a good book. Indeed, she lets out a little groan of pleasure every time she lies down!
Lizzie had a nasty injury as a racer but has recovered well. She climbs stairs with ease and gets about just fine. What she really loves is human company. She’s an A-Grade smoocher and with her unique Roman nose, she’s hard to resist. If you’re after an affectionate, low-maintenance, cuddle monster, Lizzie is just the ticket.
Lizzy is not cat friendly and will need another doggy companion.

Lizzy had a broken hock (Ankle/foot) She is not in pain and very active but will mostly use three rather than four legs when running.
Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, they can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour. Yes, they may "grow out" of it after a few weeks in their new home, but why put the dog through that stress to ultimately live all day alone, while everyone is at work? As a result we do not rehome dogs into households where they are left on their own for more than 4 hours per day, without either people or another dog for company.

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
