About Simba 🦁
This sweet natured, long legged handsome boy is on the search for his Forever home....Simba is a mix of Great Dane x Mastiff and one affectionate easy going boy.
His foster home consists of 4 kids ranging from 2-15 and he loves all the attention he gets from them.
Simba enjoys rumbling with his host kids and playing with his toys and pleasing his humans.
He is currently an outside dog with access to a covered area with a nice warm, cosy kennel.
Due to Simba’s size/breed, we will be allowing him to be re-homed under a desex agreement. This will mean that Simba must be returned to one of our approved vets on the Central Coast for desexing, no later than 6 of December 2019 (6 months old). We have consulted a number of vets who have all confirmed this is an appropriate age for the breed/size. For this reason, there will be no interstate adoptions and we will be ideally looking for a home on the Central Coast.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Simba will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a large dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Simba would be best suited to a home where he had the company of his humans or another doggie companion. He will need a medium to large yard with secure height appropriate fencing. Due to his size, we would recommend children over the age of 5 years.
Simba is located in Lakehaven, on the Central Coast NSW and looking forward to meeting you!
Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
