I've been adopted!
About Mia (Rachel)
Rachel is a friendly pup that loves people, food and playing. She has an appetite twice her size, however she is learning impulse control and now sits and waits for her food until she is released. Her toilet training has progressed well and she now only has the odd accident. She has also learnt 'leave it' which she'll need to regularly practice, as well as other ongoing training. Rachel would be well suited to a household with another dog or someone who is around the majority of the time as she hasn't yet learnt how to enjoy her own company. She would make a great addition to your household if you could provide her with ongoing training. Rachel's breed is uncertain, possibly a kelpie and staffy mix. She has lovely markings with a low maintenance coat.
~ from Rachel's foster carer
I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise twice a day as I'm an active girl, is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me "no" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
It's always hard to know with rescue pups and mixed breed pups exactly how big they'll grow to, so SAFE estimates our eventual size. They're pretty good at it!
I've already had two vaccinations - why my adoption fee is a little more than some of the other pups.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
