About Jack ~ Staffy X puppy (On Trial 8/9/19)
Meet Jack a 10 week old Staffy x. After being found in a box on the side of the highway, along with 4 other of their litter mates, Jack was taken in by DRN at around 5 weeks old.
When you meet this happy and friendly pup you’d never know he had this awful start to life. Nothing makes him happier than to be around people and dogs of all ages.
Jack and his sister Luna are currently with a family who have larger dogs of all ages and small children. They love to snuggle up on the kids laps and hide under their beds so you’ll come find them to play more.
Jack is more of a softy, preferring the company of people and the older quieter dogs at home. He’s particularly fond of the house “mumma” (a 14 year old Border Collie x). He loves adventuring in the long grass and yaps at his own shadow. He’ll need a calmer doggie friend and someone home most of the time as he cries a little when he can’t see another doggo or human.
Jack will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Jack will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as he would be too lonely on her own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Jack needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Jack is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when he's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Jack, please contact his foster carer Beth on Beth_73@bigpond.net.au Jack is in Lake Macquarie area, near Newcastle. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Jack's adoption fee is $550 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and he's been treated for fleas and worms.
