About Elowen
After a rough start in life, Elowen came into the RSPCA with NO history of human contact, and came into foster care still completely feral. This sweet girl has shown HUGE progress from where she started, and foster care has given her a second chance at life!! She has learned that human hands are a good thing, and has learned that she loves cuddles, especially when you pick her up and put her on your chest! She turns into the sweetest snuggly girl, full of purrs and kisses!!
Elowen took her time figuring out humans are friends, and is still a bit timid, but is HIGHLY food driven!! You'll be her BFF instantly if you provide yummy treats!! She LOVES roast chicken, and will try to steal it out of your hands!!
Miss Wynnie took her time settling into a home, and once adopted, will need a patient person who will let her settle in at her own pace. She's not a fan of the dog, but loves her adult cat siblings, and immediately took to them, while they helped her settle in!
Elowen has lots of facial expressions, so you know how she feels, but is known as the angry couch gnome, because when she's uncomfortable, she'll sit and glare at you until she's ready for human contact!
Elowen was fostered with Bellatrix, and these two girls immediately bonded, and helped each other through the stresses of learning to be house cats! They'll need to be adopted together, because they're a bonded pair, despite having no relations.
Wynnie has become a little shadow when her foster mumma is working around the house, she loves following and watching what her human is doing! She doesn't always immediately accept pats, but accepts them on her terms. With time, she'll be a constant companion and will warm up for more human affection!
Elowyn hasn't figured out yet how to positively communicate with her human, and her preferred communication is gentle hissing. She still has a ways to go in figuring out how to be a house cat, but please don't let her hisses scare you! She never learned as a kitten how to interact with humans, and this is her way of telling you she's nervous. Given time, Elowyn will grow to learn how to be a gorgeous house cat and will learn to love you as you show her she's safe!
