About Gideon Zolly
Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded.
Gideon is a friendly independent and outgoing boy. He has been with Victorian Dog Rescue since he was a kitten and while his siblings were adopted he is still patiently waiting. We are at a loss to understand why as he would be a wonderful addition to the family lucky enough to call him their very own. He is well socialized and is both cat friendly and dog friendly (although he hasn't met a big dog). He can sometimes be a little reserved with people he doesn't know but once he knows you he can be a very smoochy boy. He demands pats and once he gets them he will start rolling around to show how much he loves them while purring happily. He isn't too keen on being picked up but knows how to make himself cozy and is often the first to jump on an available lap when someone sits down. He makes himself very comfortable and will meow if you move to let you know that you have disturbed him. He would rather you just stay put and keep patting him.
Gideon is also very interested in dinnertime and likes to remind you if you are running late. He has been known to sing for his supper. Gideon's ideal home would be one where he has a bit of company preferably human or feline. If you want a sweet, playful and smoochy guy Gideon could be the cat for you.
Gideon had always been an indoor cat.
Gideon is litter trained.
Thank you to Heather of Dixon Dog Photography for the fantastic photos of

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
