About Maggie Skarsgard
Maggie is wonderful! She is loving, affectionate and friendly to her foster family, visitors and anyone lucky enough to meet her. Maggie LOVES love and her happy place is being with her humans, resting on their lap or sitting contentedly beside them. She currently shares her home with two small, male dogs and they get along quite well. Maggie also mixes very well with new dogs at the park and when on lead and walking. This little snugglebug enjoys sleeping most of the day and is not overly active.
A smart girl, Maggie is house trained, can sit, stay, and jump up or down on command. Once the excitement of going for a walk wears off she will walk calmly beside you. As a pug she does get easily overheated, so a gentle walk is all that she needs.
An ideal home for Maggie will see her with the company of another dog. She would also love to have someone home with her most of the time.
Maggie truly is a delightful companion. If you have lots of tummy rubs to give – Maggie is the girl for you!
Maggie will be tested with cats in the near future. Maggie is completely food obsessed, so needs to be fed separately from another dog as she will eat all she can see and reach. However, she responds well to treats for training purposes.
Thank you to Heather of Dixon Dog Photography for the fantastic photos of Maggie.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
