About Luna ~ Staffy x puppy (on trial 23/8/19)
Meet Luna a 10 week old Staffy x. After being found in a box on the side of the highway, along with 4 other of their litter mates, Luna was taken in by DRN at around 5 weeks old.
When you meet this happy and friendly pup you’d never know she had this awful start to life. Nothing makes her happier than to be around people and dogs of all ages.
Luna and her brother Jack are currently with a family who have larger dogs of all ages and small children. They love to snuggle up on the kids laps and hide under their beds so you’ll come find them to play more.
Luna is the more adventurous of the pair, she loves playing with her foster sister who is a very energetic 1 year old Kelpie. She also loves stealing the ball off her older foster brother to try to make him chase her. She’s going to need a doggie friend who has a lot of energy but is also mature enough to tell her when “enough is enough”.
Luna will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Luna will need a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate as she would be too lonely on her own. It would also be good if someone in the household doesn't work full time.
Luma needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
As Luna is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's approximately 5 months old.
For more information or to meet Luna, please contact her foster carer Beth on beth_73@bigpond.net.au Luna is in Lake Macquarie area, near Newcastle. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Luna's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, vaccinations and microchipping and she's been treated for fleas and worms.
