About Toby
This boy is all about the love, love, love. He is looking for a family situation where an adult is home most of the time or where he can go to work with his human. He will best suit a family where his humans have the time and energy to make him a priority in their daily lives.
If his humans are home,he will wont to be near them,so a situation where he is allowed to follow them into all rooms of the house is ideal. If you try and shut him away in one part of the house whilst you are in another, there will be lots of crying. As long as he can follow you around he is happy and quiet.
He is toilet trained, travels well in the car, and is good on the lead. He is an active boy who enjoys a daily walk. He is built like an athlete with long legs and a thin body so enjoys a good run around "Off Leash" to burn off steam. He will best sit an owner who allows their dog "Off Lead" on walks(when its safe to do so). These Poodle crosses are high energy dogs and are happiest with around an hours exercise per day. They get frustrated and start to "Climb the walls" if not exercised sufficiently.
He weights 8kg. His coat does shed a very small amount and will need clipping at the grooming salon approximately 6 times per year.
He has moved into a foster home where their are five other small dogs in residence and settled in with them very well. He would suit a family where he is either the only dog or where there is another small placid dog in residence. He can be scared and reactive to any dogs (especially big ones) that get up in his face.
Toby was still available for adoption on 9th September. If you can offer him an excellent home, please answer the following questions via email:
Number of people who live in the home and their ages?
Do all adults work full time?
How many hours per day would the dog be left alone?
Do you own the home or renting?
Will the dog live outside or inside the home?
If inside, will he have full access to the house or only allowed in certain rooms?
Where will the dog sleep at night?
How often will the dog be taken for a walk?
How long are the walks ie 15minutes,30minutes,1 hour?
Are there any outings or activities the dog will be included in other than walks?
Are there any other dogs currently in the house? If yes, what breed?
If not, when did you last own a dog and what breed was it?
How regularly will the dog be clipped?
What food do you like to feed your dog?
Do you give your dog any sort of monthly treatment to keep it free from fleas, worms etc?
Please note: previous applicants need not reapply. Thank you.
Medical notes
Tody came into care needing a "Dental" (teeth cleaned under anesthetic) which has now been completed. He also had infected ears which have cleared up after a course of "Dermotic".
He is now in great health and ready to find his forever home.
