About Wallis
Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes 50 per cent of the adoption fee refunded. If you are interested in Wallis, please submit an application form.
Wallis is a real sweetheart. She is shy initially but once you have established a trusted bond she warms to her people and is loving and affectionate. Her carers say she is adorable and a perfect little house guest. She's quite independent, and whilst she loves a pat, and a play with interactive toys, she is also content to be alone during the day.
Although Wallis doesn't enjoy being picked up, she is quite happy to sit and chill with her humans on the couch. Her foster carers never would have thought Wallis would be a lap cat, but she sometimes perches herself on their lap and will fall asleep. It's very rewarding to see how far she's come from her initial skittish nature. She is friendly and affectionate, and loveher pats. If you scratch her back she will knead the floor - she loves it! She especially appreciates a vigorous scratch at the base of her tail and will be purring in no time.
Wallis is usually wary of strangers, and would like an adult home as she is such a quiet girl. You feel so special once her shyness goes and she warms to you and lets you know you are important to her. She just needs her forever family to come for her now.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
