About Simon
Hi, I'm Simon!
I am a 5-year-old Greyhound looking for a forever family to nuzzle and a comfy beanbag to nap on!
My foster family says I am a very sweet, gentle, chilled out and loving boy. I love people and dogs and want to make friends with everyone that I meet. I am very polite with dogs, children and adults that I meet on my walks (I'm not even required to wear a muzzle!)
Once upon a time, I was a racer, but these days I am far happier with a leisurely daily stroll followed by a solid day of napping.
I am a quiet, gentle giant, with the softest coat you'll ever touch. While in foster care, I've become a stairmaster, conquering my fear of timber stairs in less than two weeks! Nothing else seems to phase me. I love eating, resting my head in your lap and am even OK with the odd shower - personal hygiene is important to me too!
I would love a home where I am truly part of the family, with someone around to keep me company and nuzzle but I get it; humans have to go to work sometimes, so as long as I have a warm, comfy place to nap while you're out, I'll be OK.
Not sure how I'll go with cats, but I could possibly live with another relaxed dog.
I promise to give you all my love and be your best friend for the rest of my life. If you let me lean on you every now and then, you can lean on me for life.
Are you my forever family?
I can't wait to meet you!

**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Campbellfield. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
