About Billy
Hello! I'm Billy. I have been told i am a handsome young man with a big heart, looking for my forever home. Could this be with you?
My foster mum says being the breeds i am (Labrador x German Shepherd) i will need a yard to play in, or perhaps i could be your running buddy - or even just a family member who's family like to do lots of fun stuff with me. I would very much love to be included in all family activities, especially cuddle time with my favourite people.
I've met a few dogs whilst in care and i'm pretty good around them. I did try and hump one boy dog but he told me very quickly not to do it - i do learn quickly!
I am currenlty with small breed dogs (one very old lady dog) but she told me she was in charge and i'm okay with that!
I can be quite strong on lead and when interacting with people (but i calm quickly and don't mean to get so excited it's just well i'm still a puppy - just big and i do forget I'm not as small as a Chihuahua)
Will you play with me? I'm rather playful and love my toys. I promise we'll have an amazing time.
I love food sooooo much and for this reason, teaching me new things is gonna be easy as!
Sooooo, whatcha reckon? Am I the newest member of your family?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
If applying to adopt one of our furbabies over the age of 6 months we recommend that you bring to the meet and greet any of your furbabies to see how they interact.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 2 week trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
