About Milo
Hi there! My name is Milo.
I’m still a young boy but I’m old enough to be over all that silly puppy stuff, like chewing and digging. I’m a very happy boy who loves nothing more than my people!
I get so excited when my people have been away for a little while and I will give out a squeal of delight. Because I’m so happy to see them I sometimes forget my manners and can become a little mouthy on their hands and jump around. My foster family are teaching me that this is not the way to say hello but I just LOVE them so much.
After my burst of excitement though I do calm down and am happy with just being near them. Foster mum says the more time you have to share with me, the much better I am at controlling my excitement. I’m great with children and I currently live with an 8 year old boy who I love following around the yard and playing tug-of-war with. Foster mum says I would be best with older children who are used to dogs. No tiny ones please.
I love to chill on the couch with my foster family of an evening and I’m happy sleeping inside or outside. My toilet training is coming along well and I’m also crate trained.
I absolutely love other dogs so will need a home with another dog who enjoys a robust play. I can go a bit silly when I first meet new dogs so I need a playmate who doesn’t mind me in their face. But they don’t have to be worried, as I only do it when I’m first getting to know them. I currently live with two other dogs in my foster home and we play and relax together outside while my foster humans are at work. I’m very quiet and I don’t bark when my people are away. The neighbours love me. I’m not an escape artist so normal height fencing, rural or suburban, is fine for me. I’m not destructive at all either and will happily chew a toy or bone rather than your belongings.
I’m really just everybody’s friend, even the two cats who live with my foster family. One is mean so I leave him alone but the other little one is pretty cool so I don’t mind hanging with her. Sometimes I have to be reminded to be calm though as the little one moves quickly and that sometimes makes me get excited but I always listen to my foster family when they tell me to settle.
I’ve been to training school so I’ve learnt how to sit and I’m very good at waiting for my food. Foster mum LOVES taking me for walks. I’m very well behaved and she says I’m a dream to walk as I heel beautifully and always look to her for guidance.
So if you are looking for a new family member who will always be happy to see you and will be a buddy for your dog, then come and meet me! And bring my future playmate too. See you soon!
