Adoption information
I've been adopted!
About Ella Kostas is checking out her new home!
For that person who adopts Ella and understands her needs they will get all the love that she has withheld during her times of stress.
Ella is looking for a very special home with someone who, above all, will put the time and effort into her that she deserves. She hasn’t had the easiest start to life, and has some behavioural issues that have likely stemmed from those beginnings that will require continued care as she isn’t sure yet who she can trust or what it means to really relax into her surroundings. Ella would like nothing more than to be shown how to love in return.
She needs an adult family (no children) in a single-dog home as she is quite sensitive and can be fearful around other animals. Ella could potentially live with a calm dog of similar age and temperament if she was given her own space, especially if they were smaller in size like she is. Ella would also benefit from having someone around for most of the time as she can get distressed when left alone.
Ella will require her new family to continue with training and socialisation in order to build confidence and a sense of stability. They will also need to be experienced with dogs. She has some behaviours that require extra attention, and consistency will be invaluable in addressing these. Ella also has some limited experience with crate training which will be of great benefit going forward to her feeling safe.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
