About Bentley Kostas
Bentley is one of the friendliest, affectionate and well mannered larger dogs we have had. Initially, he seems a little wary of men but settles quickly. He LOVES a cuddle and nuzzle in to your chest. He’s chilled and friendly in all public situations – the sort of dog you can take to pub garden or a sports match. He is more interested in people than other dogs and loves to be included in your activities. He is very well mannered with new dogs and takes his cue from them as to whether they want to play or not. When he is living with a dog he knows well he will be more boisterous and even try to share a bed.
Faults – well he is a bit of a sook, and whines if you go out or he wants a pat and you don’t do it straight away. So if you don’t love an affectionate dog who will make you his world definitely not for you.
He is randomly frightened by the odd man and will bark at them while he backs away but gets over it quickly. If worried by anything – dog or person – he is a back away kind of guy.
He’s now reasonably good on his halti but his original owner used to let him off leash rather than walk him on leash.
Not good with cats or possums as much too interested in them.
Overall Bentley is just a great all round dog but big so probably best suited to a family with children of school age. He is a big hit at doggy day care and the sort of dog that people stop as you walk by and ask if they can pat him.
Bentley is waiting for you.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
