About Dusty 🍖
Dusty is a very playful little pup with endless energy! He adores spending time with his humans and doggie friends. He's a cuddly boy when it's nap time but does love to explore his surroundings and always up for a game of Tug-o-war with his sister Elle. Dusty follows the lead of his host dogs and has picked up the routine in his foster home. He is currently an inside/outside dog and would love the company of another dog in his forever home.
Dusty is currently living with older kids in his foster home and absolutely adores them. Given that he is quite energetic and boisterous, he would be best suited to a home with older children who enjoyed spending time in the backyard. This cheeky little boy is always happy. He loves playing with his toys and is easily trained. He's currently learning some basic commands like 'sit' and 'stay' and will come when called.
Toilet training is coming along beautifully! Dusty is using puppy pads if unable to get outside, but most of the time he will wait until he's on the grass. Sleeping arrangements at night is fairly routine....he enjoys sleeping in his crate with or without Elle.
As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Dusty will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a medium to large dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult.
We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety.
Dusty would be best suited to a home where he had the company of his humans or another doggie companion. He will need a medium to large yard with secure height appropriate fencing and a family who will commit to his training.
Dusty is located in Woongarrah, on the Central Coast NSW and looking forward to meeting you!

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
