About Kimi Torsten
Kimi is the funniest character. Initially she was confused when coming into our care as she missed her previous person very much. But with lots of love and established trust she is showing signs of personality plus and has blossomed into a confident and affectionate dog. Kimi loves following her people around and is always on the lookout for cuddles and tummy rubs.
Best described as a quiet, chilled girl, Kimi gets along well with older dogs who are respectful of her space. She ignores barking dogs and those who display dominating behaviour. Kimi isn’t too keen on the exuberance that comes with puppy energy but she has not shown any aggression towards another dog.
Kimi enjoys her daily walks, is quite good on lead and will sit for a food reward. She made several escape attempts before she settled into her foster home. She escaped once and stayed away overnight, but came back by herself. She is very strong and broke a link in a metal chain to escape. Her latest is lifting a big iron gate off its hinges. She doesn’t escape but just likes to let you know what she is capable of. The kitchen is Kimi’s favourite place. She knows this is where she may get a treat or human food sometimes gets dropped on the floor.
A home that will see Kimi thrive will most definitely have a secure backyard. Ideally she would have another quiet, older dog for company. Kimi loves to be with her family in the evenings; snoring gently or watching TV with them. The most important thing in her world is that she will belong to her pack/family and be involved in the daily happenings and fun adventures. Small children wouldn't be recommended just due to Kimi's size.
Kimi is a wonderful dog. She can’t wait to start the next chapter of her life with her forever family.
Kimi's home will be feline free.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer a six-week full refund, free assistance for six weeks for any issues, and a lifetime takeback policy with a fifty percent refund of the adoption fee, and of course an invitation to our adopters’ Christmas party.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
