About Snowy ~ Chihuahua (on trial 16/8/19)
Meet Snowy! Snowy is a charming 10 year old Chihuahua. Yes, he is a senior boy, but please keep reading! There is so much more to know about Snowy than just how many times he has been around the sun.
Snowy is an absolutely delightful little man. He does take a little while to get totally comfortable with new people, but he will soon be snuggled on your lap and following you around. He loves to get under the covers in bed or will make his own nest of blankies on the couch.
When he isn’t nestled up and snoring, he is quite active - while he won’t be your jogging partner, he gets very excited for his daily walk and still plays with a stuffed toy from time to time. He has great offlead recall and is well house trained.
Snowy is currently in foster care with three other dogs and two cats. He is happy to coexist with any animals who respect his space. He would be best matched with an older, mellow dog who won’t be phased while Snowy asserts his position.
He really is more of a people person though - he needs a home where someone is home most of the time. He is a mostly indoor dog as he gets cold easily, but he does enjoy being out in the warm morning sun in his cardigan.
Snowy is extremely affectionate, cuddly and joyful. He has many more years of love and fun ahead of him if he is provided with these basic things
- a cosy warm and safe home
- mental and physical stimulation
- a healthy and nutritious diet
- lots of love and attention
Snowy is not suited to a home with small children, because loud noises frighten him, and grabbing little hands are threatening when you are only 4kg.
For more information or to meet Snowy, please contact his foster carer Freya on 0459739348 or fr3ydiddy@gmail.com Snowy is in foster care in Cessnock, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Snowy's adoption fee is $250 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption. More details of our Adoption Procedure on our website: https://tinyurl.com/adoptproc
