Violet

Hi there, I'm beautiful Violet and I arrived at the shelter when I was left in the overnight kennels and without a microchip my family couldn't be contacted. Sadly, my family didn't come looking for me.

I don't appear to have had a very good life as when I arrived at the shelter I was very thin, dirty and scared and appeared to have just weaned puppies.

With lots of love and attention from shelter staff I've now grown in confidence and I'm now ready to find my new family.

I have to be honest and tell you that I haven't had very much training at all so I really need a family who promise to spend time with me teaching me some manners so I can be the best dog ever.

When I get excited I get a bit bouncy and mouthy so I need to be taught that this isn't acceptable behaviour. Until I learn this it's not recommended that I go to a home with children as I may accidently knock them over or scare them.

As I was under fed when I arrived at the shelter I LOVE my food and will possible scavenge food around the house so please don't let me have access to bins as I may get into them looking for a tasty morsel.

Because I love food so much using a positive food reward with training should have be being the best girl ever in no time.

At this stage I do prefer to be the only doggo in the house as I've had very little socialisation so again I need a family who'll make sure I get lots of socialisation so I can learn to make some doggie friends. I do appear ok with cats so perhaps a home with a kitty friend might be ok for me as long as there is a slow and supervised introduction.

If you're the patience family I'm hoping to find who'll help me become a well behaved and social girl then please come into the shelter to meet me.
