About Coco ~ Husky X GSD (on trial 26/8/19/
Coco the gentle, loving, easy going older girl is a 12 year old Husky x German Shepherd. Through no fault of her own she is looking for a new home to see out the rest of her life. She will be a great companion dog for someone!
Coco greets you with a big smile and a waggy tail. She has basic training, is toilet trained and would love to be allowed inside whenever someone is home. She does sleep inside and would like to sleep on the bed but happy to be close by on her comfy bed.
Even though she is an older dog if she knows she is going for a walk she is like an excited puppy. She adores going for a walk or an outing and is a great dog to take out for a coffee. She attracts lots of attention as she is still a very good looking dog.
Being part Husky, she has a great coat and needs regular brushing and grooming to keep it soft and shiny. She recently had a pamper at the groomers and loved it!
Coco is dog friendly but prefers the company of her family. Coco has been exposed to pocket pets and one that even nipped at her (she just ignores them). The next doors cat got really bossy and horrible to her, tries to scratch her a lot, but again she didn’t retaliate.
Yes, Coco is 12 years old and is slowing down (a bit) but will bring plenty of more years of love and loyalty.
Coco has difficulty with stair cases. Because if her size and arthritis internal stair cases are not an option for this beautiful girl.
She can and does manage external stairs as long as there is not to many.
For more information or to meet Coco, please contact her foster carer Sue on kiwi65@gmail.com Coco is in foster care in Stockton, NSW and is available for adoption interstate. You can also fill out the adoption questionnaire here https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
Coco's adoption fee is $100 and she is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered.

Medical notes
Coco has just had a vet check, and it is confirmed that she does have Arthritis in her back legs.
To keep her as well and spritely possible, she will need to have on going medication.
I am giving her a green lip mussel powder and a nom steroidal anti-inflammatory, with her food, so not difficult at all.
She is still healthy in every other way. She is a very happy girl who does 3-5klm walks with me every day.
