Maui

MAUI is a young male dog needing a new home as soon as possible. He's only ever been an outside dog & his young family are looking to rehome him because they don't have enough time to give Maui the kind of life he craves. Maui needs some basic training & plenty of exercise as well as quality time to make his life fun, happy & meaningful. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body we've been told so someone who has owned a Beagle might find Maui the right dog to give a second chance. He can be a bit boisterous so he's not suited to small or young children. Maui is friendly with men, women, children & strangers & has never shown any aggression towards other dogs & can go off leash in the park. He knows to "sit", "stay" & "come", isn't afraid of thunder, fireworks, etc & enjoys going in the car. Maui can chew things or become destructive when bored or left alone for too long. With some basic training, good socialising, plenty of exercise, & lots of rewards & positive reinforcement Maui is still young enough to develop into a great family pet with older children.
