Hi everyone, my name is Thor!

I was recently surrendered to Lort Smith as my carers could no longer provide me with what I needed as a young, energetic growing pup! I am now on the lookout for a family to call my own.

I would love to go to a family that know my breed and to a home where my people will take me for gentle daily strolls and provide me with play and enrichment. A family that will be committed to taking me to training school and continue working on my manners and obedience, so I can become a well-rounded confident dog. 

The staff noticed that I was a little lame on one of my back legs, so they decided that it would be ideal if I had X-rays performed on my hips and stifles. The findings were that I have early onset hip dysplasia. At this stage I am not in any pain, however it is a possibility that it will cause me issues in the future. Please speak to the Adoption Centre team about this - they will be able to explain what my medical needs are.

I will not be able to go to a home where I have to use stairs on a daily basis and will also have to be careful not to get too over the top and boisterous in my play. I can go to a home with another dog, however due to my hips, they would have to be calm, confident, be obedient and know how to play so as to not go overboard with jumping and erratic movements.
