Meet the very gorgeous Poppy!
Poppy came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender, and has settled well into foster care. She can be a little timid when meeting new people and children but soon comes round and is friendly. She loves other dogs and currently lives with a variety of animals including a lamb, cats, geese, turkeys, alpacas and chickens!
She walks quietly on the lead and loves to go for long walks. She's a high energy girl and will need 2 good walks each day. She loves ball games and tug of war, and is very happy riding in the ute to go for a drive. She also loves to jump in water.
Poppy knows a few commands already. She's an extremely bright girl with amazing potential given gentle training and guidance. She is still housetraining so will also need some patience and persistence from her new owner to get this sorted.
She is super affectionate and loves nothing better than sneaking into her foster carer's bedroom, getting on the bed and snuggling up with her head on the pillow!
Poppy's ideal home will have a large secure yard, with another (preferably male) dog for company. A high energy family who love bush walks and getting her out and about would be perfect to keep her happy and healthy. She also needs to be able to sleep inside at night.
If Poppy sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please submit an adoption enquiry and we will be in touch soon.
