About Winter
Introducing Winter who needs a home with clear boundaries, time for grooming and prepared for boundless adventures and loving.
This girl is an awesome co-pilot. She loves travelling in the car and is a relaxed and settled traveller.
Winter has a strong prey drive so is not suitable for a home with birds, cats or pocket pets.
Winter bonds strongly and loves to hang out with her humans. She has been in a home with older children and another dog which was an entire male Samoyed dog.
Winter is strong on the lead when walking and tends to cross over your path so she will need further training.
True to the Chow Chows breed Winter is intelligent but also has the breed is both independent and has a stubborn streak.
Winter will alert bark but has not been excessively barking in foster care. In her original home Winter had a tendency to get out of the yard by squeezing through any gap she found and was barking a lot. In foster care with secure fencing there has not been any issues at all with containing her.
Will all that information provided, Winter is a pure delight and would be a great companion for a family with older children. We think she would prefer to be an only dog or have a desexed male companion of a simular size.
Medical notes
Winter has recently been desexed.
Grade 2 Dental.
Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
