About Rex
Handsome Rex and his identical sister Lexie came to us from a farmer who didn’t want them anymore - apparently they didn’t show enough promise as potential working dogs.
A lack of stock working ability is a plus for pet dogs as they slot very easily into pet homes and don’t long to be out herding stock.
Rex is a lovely boy, he came in not even knowing how to sit or walk on leash, but had those basics down pat in no time at all.
He’s friendly with everyone and everything, but isn’t “in your face”. He’s not housetrained due to the numbers of dogs in my home already, but from experience, I’ve found dogs of this age are a cinch to housetrain.
He loves to come inside through the pet door for a little visit however.
Rex has been having short stints in the crate, which will stand him in good stead should his new owner wish to crate him at night.
We’ve been having fun with Rex, teaching him to jump over and on little obstacles, fetch a toy etc. I would describe him as moderately active.
Rex is in care with me at Moree, NSW. We have daily flights to Sydney and further afield and road transportation is available, going north one week and southbound the following week.
Medical notes
Vet checked, a healthy young chap.
